Proposed Northern Ring Road – support from neighbouring Parish Councils

Staplegrove Parish Council have been putting pressure on Somerset County Council (SCC) to ensure that the ‘spine road’ is built before any building work starts on the North Taunton Development. This would mean that there would be no need for construction traffic to use Manor Road and Corkscrew Lane, or the creation of a temporary ‘drop-down’ road. The Parish Council are also lobbying SCC’s Highway department to consider extending this road to link with existing roads to form a Northern Ring Road.
